Perrette made a cryptic post on social media about the reason for her departure. She claimed that “he did it,” and her followers assumed she was referring to Mark Harmon. After all, she didn’t feel safe on set after Harmon’s dog bit one of the crew members.
When Harmon continued to bring his pet, Perrett allegedly became enraged and called him out. The two actors agreed that they would no longer work together, and she later tweeted that he scared her. Despite this, Perrette enjoyed her time on the show, despite the fact that a physical change caused her problems.

However, Perrette’s use of hair dye caused health problems. She had to go to the emergency room due to an allergic reaction, according to CBS. Perrette shared a photo of her swollen face on social media. She described how one side of her head grew to be twice the size of the other.
Perrette also warned her fans about potential hair dye allergies and the symptoms to look out for. Itching the next day and redness on the scalp are two of the symptoms. Despite the hospital visit, Perrette was adamant about keeping her hair black. According to BuzzFeed, Perrette stated that she would either use natural dyes or a wig. She did not, however, specify which one she chose.

Perrette hasn’t done much acting since leaving NCIS. A year later, she returned to television to star in Broke. Perrette played Jackie, a single mother who takes in her estranged sister and brother-in-law.
The network canceled the comedy after only one season. Following that, Perrette announced her retirement from acting. She decided to return to school and major in sociology instead.
