Former NCIS star Pauley Perrette, who played Abby Sciuto on the CBS drama, has taken to social media to pay tribute to a close friend who recently passed away.

NCIS’ Abby Sciuto (played by Pauley Perrette) has been absent from the CBS drama since 2018, but fans have kept up with the star off-screen. Perrette has been keeping her fans up to date on current events via her Twitter page since leaving the series and making a brief return to the US network in the sitcom Broke.

However, the star received some sad news this week when she took to social media to pay tribute to a close friend.

Terri King, a fashion designer, d1ed earlier this week, and Perrette shared a heartfelt post to her 707.4k followers.

Perrette posted several photos of herself wearing King’s designs, as well as a smiley photo with the designer herself.

“So sad to hear of the passing of our beloved @TheTerriKing,” the former NCIS star began.

She went on to say, “Designer to the Rock Stars” (and me).

“Her lovely, bright light is unrivaled.” She came to spread kindness and goodness.

“She made my Grammy and People’s Choice Awards gowns.”

Among the photos was one of Perrette and King from their time working together on the NOH8 Campaign in the noughties.

The duo joined forces with a number of other famous faces to work for the equality charity.

“The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender, and human equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest,” according to its mission statement.

All of these are issues close to Perrette’s heart, and the actress has dedicated much of her career to advocating for equal rights.

Following her heartfelt tribute, a number of Perrette’s fans expressed their condolences.

Twitter user @EvilERUReady recalled their own relationship with King, writing, “I met you at her Melrose party.”

“She was a close friend who designed my wedding gown.” I’m still in sh0ck. I love the picture of you two. I’m glad you mentioned it.”

“I’m so sorry to hear about your friend’s passing!” @Dave51761372 added. You must have been a wonderful friend to her.”

While @BatB***h195704 said, “Sorry for your friend’s loss.”
