NCIS fans are finally going to see Mark Harmon and real-life wife Pam Dawber on screen together. But when is she going to make her appearance in the drama?
NCIS season 18 has seen a handful of long-term characters make their exits. First off was chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer’s (played by Brian Dietzen) wife Breena (Michelle Pierce) who died of coronavirus. Then it was Jack Sloane (Maria Bello) who left to help girls in need in Afghanistan and quickly followed by Emily Fornell (Juliette Angelo) who died of a drug overdose. Thankfully, there is some good news on the way as Agent Gibbs’ actor Mark Harmon’s wife Pam Dawber will be joining him for a story arc.
When will Mark Harmon’s wife star in NCIS season 18?
Even though NCIS has been on for nearing two decades Harmon’s other half and actress Pam Dawber has never been in the show.
She rose to fame in Mork and Mindy alongside the late Robin Williams and briefly reunited with him again in his last show The Crazy Ones in 2014.
Dawber has also been in The Twilight Zone, My Sister Sam, Life… and Stuff and 101 Dalmatians: The Series.
Her latest role was back in 2016 when she featured in an episode of the rebooted The Odd Couple.
Harmon may have reached international fame through NCIS but he has been with Dawber for far longer.
The pair have been married for 34 years and they have two children together, with son Sean Harmon making an appearance in NCIS as the younger version of Gibbs in a flashback scene.
Now it’s Harmon’s wife’s turn as she will be joining the cast for a four-episode story arc.
Dawber will be starring in NCIS for the first time on Tuesday, April 6, in an en episode called Gut Punch.
The actress is going to be portraying a character called Marcie Warren who is a journalist.
She is described as “a seasoned investigative journalist who uses her savvy wit and down-to-earth people skills to aid in her tireless pursuit of truth.”
Dawber will be filming scenes opposite her real-life husband but it hasn’t yet been revealed how they will meet or why she is going to get involved with NCIS.
There hasn’t been any indication if there will be a romantic storyline brewing for the pair but it may be too soon after another of Gibbs’ loves left his life.
Forensic psychologist Sloane had been working for NCIS for three years and it was clear from the start that there was a spark between herself and Gibbs.
The show had been teasing a possible romance but nothing had happened apart from obvious flirting.
In season 18’s True Believer, after accompanying Gibbs on a work trip to Afghanistan, she decided that she needed to stay to help those in need.
As they said their final goodbyes, Gibbs kissed Sloane, making fans’ hearts melt as this would be the last time they see each other for a long time.
Gibbs’ future at NCIS has is also being questioned after the episode Watchdog.
He started beating up a man who had abused and killed dogs, punching him to the ground and strangling him when his team pulled him away.
This wasn’t something Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) couldn’t ignore and decided to suspend Gibbs who was forced to give up his badge and gun.
So could this really be the beginning of the end for Harmon on NCIS?
