NCIS season 19 has one episode left to air before it concludes, so will there be a 20th season..?
NCIS season 19 will be remembered as the beginning of a new era without the likes of Agent Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon). With the series finale approaching, viewers’ attention is turning to the CBS drama’s future.
Is there going to be another season of NCIS..?
NCIS has been on the air for over two decades and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Concerns were raised earlier in season 19 when Agent Gibbs decided to leave his old life behind in favor of a more peaceful one in Alaska.
But it appears that fans of the CBS drama and the new agents Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Alden Parker are still smitten (Gary Cole).
In terms of numbers, the show currently has more than 11.2 million total viewers.
Keeping this in mind, NCIS has been given the go-ahead for season 20.
An official release date has yet to be announced, but the police procedural will most likely return later this year for new episodes.
This isn’t the only piece of good news for franchise devotees.
Along with the renewal of NCIS, the network has confirmed that NCIS Los Angeles will return for season 14 and NCIS Hawaii will return for a second season.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome back all three talented casts and creative teams to bring more compelling NCIS stories to viewers in the United States and around the world.”
Before the end of Series 19, viewers are hoping for romance for two characters in particular.
There has been a clear connection between actress Law’s character Jessica and chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer since she joined NCIS for season 18. (Brian Dietzen).
She politely asked him to accompany her to a family wedding earlier in the season, and they’ve been talking about going on a proper date ever since.
Typically, work has always stood in the way of them taking this next step.
However, with only one episode remaining, viewers are hoping that their blossoming romance will round out the series nicely.
The season 19 finale of NCIS will air on CBS on Monday, May 23.
The next installment, Birds of a Feather, will see newcomer Parker’s life turned upside down.
“When Parker is framed for murd3r, the team puts their jobs and lives on the line to buy time and uncover the truth,” the description says.
