The Season 20 finale of CBS’s NCIS has been scheduled for Monday, May 22, at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central. This was the first full season of the show without Mark Harmon, who plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS. NCIS will return for Season 21 after CBS renewed it.
In addition to NCIS, its sister show, NCIS: Hawai’i, will air its Season 2 finale on May 22 at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central. That will be the conclusion of a two-part series finale, the first of which will air on May 15. The Neighborhood and Bob Hearts Abishola season finales will also air on May 22.
In May, NCIS: Los Angeles will conclude its 14th and final season. On Sunday, May 14, at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, the first half of New Beginnings will air. Part Two will air on May 21 at 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central. A Salute to NCIS: Los Angeles will air on Entertainment Tonight that night at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central. ‘NCIS’ has been renewed for Season 21 on CBS, which will premiere this fall.
NCIS was renewed for Season 21 in February. CBS has yet to release a plot synopsis for the season finale. However, the upcoming March 20 episode will feature a tense hour. The team in Stranger in a Strange Land must solve the murd3r of a Marine private who may have been k1lled for assisting an Afghan refugee. Meanwhile, Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) is dealing with the pressures of raising his adolescent daughter, who wants to go on an unsupervised group date.
Rocky Carroll as Leon Vance, David McCallum as Dr. Ducky Mallard, Diona Reasonover as Kasie Hines, Dietzen as Dr. Palmer, Katrina Law as Jessica Knight, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, and Sean Murray as Timothy McGee round out the current NCIS cast.
CBS has renewed many of its shows for the 2023-2024 television season. CSI: Vegas, Fire Country, So Help Me Todd, The Equalizer, and all three FBI shows will return, in addition to NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i. Four sitcoms are set to return in the fall.
