NCIS LOS ANGELES season 12 will be released in November. But will Nell Jones be in danger in the new series?
NCIS Los Angeles fans are excited for the show to be returning on November 8 on CBS. Nell Jones star Renée Felice Smith posted on Instagram about the new series and teased an exhausting storyline for her character – here’s what she revealed.
Will Nell Jones have a dramatic season 12 storyline?
The 12th season of NCIS Los Angeles will be premiering next month on CBS.
This follows on from the 11th outing, which was cut short earlier this year.
Now viewers are eager to know what will happen next in the crime-solving drama.
To celebrate the release date announcement, Nell star Smith posted on Instagram on October 13 as she updated her fans on the new series with a behind-the-scenes look.
She dropped an image of her in the NCIS LA office on her trusty computer while being filmed for season 12.
However, it was the caption which revealed the most about what to expect from the new season.
She wrote: “Yesterday, I did 12 pages of material while block shooting, which essentially means the scenes were filmed ‘back to back.’
“And here is the last take of the day where I’m actively trying to remember how to pronounce my own name.
The star then went on to confirm all of the scenes were just for one episode of the show.
She told fan account NCISLA.is.my.favourite.show this in the comments below her pictures.
This all sets up a potentially dramatic episode for Nell if she is involved in so much of the outing.
As well as this, CBS has just released the synopsis for its premiere episode, which teases something “cryptic” is ahead for Nell.
This reads: “When a Russian bomber goes missing while flying over U.S. soil, Callen and Sam must track it down in the desert.
“And secure its weapons and intel before the Russians on board destroy the plane. Also, Hetty gives Nell a cryptic assignment…”
This all means Nell might be facing a fair few challenges when the show comes back.
As fans will know, she had a tense storyline at the end of season 11 as well.
This came after Nell was facing burnout and exhaustion from her work on the NCIS team.
As a result, she gave Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) her notice and headed on some indefinite leave.
At the time, viewers did not know if she would be returning again or her exit was permanent.
Thankfully, the star has since revealed she will be staying put on the hit crime procedural through behind-the-scenes shots for fans.
Now the 12th series is about to start, fans will just have to wait and see what this all means for Nell.
