Rick Tunell, the production manager for NCIS: Los Angeles, has given fans a sneak peek at a creepy location for the upcoming season 14.

Tunell, who has been working on the NCIS spin-off since 2009, took to Twitter to share an exclusive image of a dimly lit room in what appears to be an abandoned laboratory. A trap door covered by wooden boards can be seen on the floor.

“Scouting creepy locations for the third episode of [NCIS: LA],” Tunell wrote, revealing which episode viewers will learn about the terrifying location.

The LA-set spin-off aired its 13th season finale in May, with all characters getting their (temporary?) happy ending.

Katya Vitkoya was identified as Callen’s (Chris O’Donnell) identity thief (Sasha Clements). The Special Agent proposed to his longtime girlfriend Anna Kolcheck after solving the deep fake mystery (Bar Paly).

Meanwhile, Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were finally given the opportunity to start a family. Rosa (Natalia Del Riego), a teenager, was welcomed into their lives by the couple, who had previously considered fostering.

The persona of LL Cool J Sam Hanna also made a significant decision by selling his boat in order to be closer to his father, who is suffering from dementia.

The stakes appear to be high for the protagonists, who will have to protect their happiness at all costs in the next chapter.
