When CBS announced their fall lineup and premiere dates for everyone’s favorite shows earlier this week, “NCIS” fans marked their calendars.

“NCIS” star Wilmer Valderrama previously informed fans of the show’s Season 20 premiere date. He shared a photo of the show’s logo and the date of its premiere, Monday, September 19, superimposed over images of the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

Because the show is set in Washington, D.C., fans aren’t surprised to see images of the capital city in promotional materials. However, given what Valderrama said in the post’s caption, this promotion appears to be more important than most.

“20th YEAR OF #NCIS” We’re going off-road… “Are you coming?” Valderrama had previously written.

Off-road, it appears that the “NCIS” star is implying that the team will not be operating out of its DC headquarters much this season. Could we see more crossover events between the main show and its spinoffs set in Los Angeles and Hawaii? Or will the “NCIS” team simply be following more cases across the United States in general?

To find out, we’ll have to wait until September 19th. However, many fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming season in the comments section of Valderrama’s post.

“@WValderrama I wouldn’t trade it for anything! “You guys are amazing,” one fan said. “Been there since S1 E1…,” wrote another. “I’ll see you in September.”

“I’m looking forward to Season 20!” said another fan.

Wilmer Valderrama, star of ‘NCIS,’ shares a heartbreaking story about his father’s heart att4ck.

Wilmer Valderrama, star of “NCIS,” revealed earlier this week that his father had a heart att4ck on Father’s Day. While his father appears to be on the mend, Valderrama shared his thoughts on the incident in a recent Instagram post.

“Fathers Day, I’ll remember as the day my papa and I got another go at it,” Valderrama began in his caption.

“My father had a major heart att4ck last Sunday.” “One thought came to mind while driving him to the ER and remaining responsive and alert,” the “NCIS” star continued. “If this is our final day together… have I loved him enough?” Have I hugged him and told him he did it… that he sacrificed everything for his family? That I saw him give up everything JUST to give us the American Dream?”

“You taught me to love people and never give up on them,” Valderrama added. To be of service, to give all of you knowing that it will sometimes leave you almost empty… then understanding that made room for more blessings and light… light that you share indefinitely.”

The “NCIS” star expressed gratitude to the hospital staff and God for keeping his father alive. He concluded his post with a message to his fans.

“Let those of you who still have fathers or father figures know… “Don’t let them go without giving them the assurance that they will live on in your heart forever,” he advised. “And for those of you who now have them as your guardian Angel, remember to communicate with them… their voice will be with you for the rest of your days.”
