Daniela Ruah, star of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” has a busy December because she celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas with her family.
Ruah is of Portuguese and Jewish descent, so she celebrates Hannukah with her husband and two children every year. Her husband, David Olsen, celebrates Christmas every year, so the two go all-in on both holidays.
Earlier today, the “NCIS: Los Angeles” star shared a photo gallery of the Ruah-Olsen family celebrating their favorite holidays throughout December. Eric Christian Olsen, Daniela’s brother-in-law and co-star, joined her and David. On “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Eric is David’s younger brother and Ruah’s love interest. Yes, it’s perplexing, but it’s also endearing that the entire family is so close.
Ruah’s and Eric Christian Olsen’s children are both featured in the photo collage Ruah posted on Instagram. One child is seen lighting a menorah in the first photograph. Then two kids in matching PJs stand in front of the Christmas tree, followed by two more kids trying on costumes together. The final image depicts two adorable little kids bundled up in the snow.
“Rejoicing in mom and dad’s traditions with family… “Merry Christmas to everyone, and best wishes for health and happiness in the new year,” Ruah captioned her post. The “NCIS: Los Angeles” star also copied it in Portuguese for all of her Portuguese friends and family.

As if Hanukkah and Christmas weren’t enough, Daniela Ruah, star of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” also has two birthdays in December. One of them happens to be her own! This year marks the actress’s 38th birthday, and she took to Instagram to thank all of her friends and family.
Several people reportedly submitted photos for a video compilation of Ruah’s life over the last 38 years. She posted the video with the caption, “OH MY GOSH… Thank you so much for making such a lovely video! Thank you to everyone who contributed videos, photos, and messages. My heart is full today because of you, and you are all a part of it.”

The Ruah family also celebrates the birthday of their oldest child, River, in December. He was born three weeks early on December 30, 2013. Ruah hasn’t yet posted a photo for River’s birthday this year, but in 2020, she paid him a sweet tribute on her Instagram page.
