For the first time ever, CBS is airing an NCISverse crossover event, and it’s a big deal to bring the three teams of NCIS, Los Angeles, and Hawai’i together.
As the first trailer indicates, there will be explosions and danger. “Contact the Guinness Book of World Records.” “We have the most senior field agents at a cr1me scene,” Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) of NCIS: Hawai’i remarks. NCIS’ Alden Parker (Gary Cole), Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) are with her, as are Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and Grisha Callen (Chris O’Donnell) from Los Angeles, and Jesse Boone from Hawaii (Noah Mills). NCIS will take over CBS for three hours on Monday, January 2, 2023, and each show will move to a new time (and night, in the case of LA). It all starts at 8/7c with NCIS, then moves on to Hawai’i, and finally to LA.
The d3ath of a beloved FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) professor has brought the three teams together, and they’re in Washington, D.C. to celebrate. Though it appears to be a suicide, his former students immediately suspect otherwise. They discover a mysterious hitman while investigating his past, and the more they dig into it, the bigger the targets on their backs become. When members of the team are kidnapped, all of the agents must work together to bring down the assassin and save their own lives.
Along with those seen in the promo, NCIS Brian Dietzen (Dr. Jimmy Palmer) and Yasmine Al-Bustami (Lucy Tara) from Hawai’i will cross over.
“It was a lot of fun,” Daniela Ruah of LA previously told TV Insider. “Some of the actors I was already familiar with. For example, I’ve known Wilmer for a few years now, and it was great to catch up with him and show him pictures of the kids and spouses. Then I got to meet people from NCIS: Hawai’i, for example. They came over; I’d never met any of them before, and it was fantastic. Everyone was just glad to see each other and be together.”
