Noah Mills, star of NCIS: Hawai’i, provides an update on season 3 now that the actors’ strike has ended.
The long-running CBS series is undergoing a transition, with NCIS: Los Angeles ending earlier this year and the foreign spinoff NCIS: Sydney debuting.
NCIS: Hawai’i represents a happy medium, with LL Cool J reprising his role as Sam Hanna from the Los Angeles-based spinoff in its third season.
Mills, who plays Jesse Boone in NCIS: Hawai’i, spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the status of season 3 of NCIS: Hawai’i, which is nearing completion despite the players’ strike.
Mills gave a definite date of December 4 for the commencement of filming, emphasizing that things will pick up quickly. Mills also expresses his delight about LL Cool J joining the series in the quote below:
Everything is moving rather quickly now, I believe. Dec. 4 is a possible date. We start shooting, and because we have such a terrific crew and such a good machine over there from the first two seasons, we can be up and running very quickly.
Are you serious? I’m overjoyed. I’m like, honestly, I’m going to be hanging out with LL Cool J. I had the opportunity to collaborate with him on the NCIS crossover The Mothership. He’s very cool and has such a powerful presence, as well as being an accomplished actor.
He was telling me stories about going to Studio 54 when he was 16 in New York. He’s done everything. So I’m overjoyed. And, you know, he’s one of those folks who is genuinely curious about me and my life in Hawaii. We’re expecting a heavyweight. So it’s going to be fantastic.
