Tom Selleck, 79, Appears Rugged in New Workout Photos – Bearded Actor Makes First Public Appearance Since Blue Bloods Cancellation

Tom Selleck, the 79-year-old acting legend, was seen hitting the gym in Thousand Oaks, California, marking his first public appearance since the abrupt end of his longtime TV cop drama, Blue Bloods. Dressed in an all-black workout ensemble, Selleck sported his trademark mustache along with a silver beard.

After 14 years of traveling to and from the East Coast for production, Selleck has returned to his California ranch with his wife, Jillie. Despite his regret with CBS’ decision to cancel Blue Bloods, Selleck remains optimistic that viewers will love the show’s 14th and final season, which will air in October.

Selleck, who gained fame from Magnum PI and Friends, won legions of fans as Frank Reagan, the NYPD commissioner in Blue Bloods. He starred alongside Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes since the show’s debut in September 2010. Selleck expressed his belief that the show’s popularity would continue to grow despite its cancellation.

As he approaches retirement, Selleck hopes to spend more time with Jillie on his 65-acre ranch. However, he revealed that the termination of Blue Bloods could have an influence on his capacity to preserve his property. Despite a successful career, Selleck said on CBS Sunday Morning that financial issues may impair his lifestyle.

In his downtime, Selleck enjoys simple pleasures like walking around his property and spending time with his family. He is especially close to his daughter, Hannah, an accomplished horse rider, and takes pride in her competitive career.

While Selleck want to spend more time with his wife, he is open to new job prospects, underlining his desire to continue working as long as feasible.
