Tom Selleck, 79, was spotted at JFK Airport on October 15, just days after expressing his frustration over CBS ending Blue Bloods after season 14. He told TV Insider on October 3, “I’m kind of frustrated. I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful.”
Outside and About
Tom draped a brown scarf around his neck to ward off the brisk NYC air as autumn begins to settle in.
Taking a Casual Approach
The Magnum, P.I. alum donned blue jeans and a pair of hiking shoes for a relaxed outing.
Reflecting on the End of an Era
“My irritation stems from the fact that the program was always taken for granted because it performed well from the beginning. How am I feeling? “It’ll take a long time to process everything,” Tom said of Blue Bloods’ cancelation. “I remember telling myself after the weekend of filming the final episode, ‘I need to get to bed early tonight because I have to prepare my dialogue for Monday.'” But there was no Monday. “It will take some time to adjust.”
Nostalgia for the Cast
When asked what he would miss most about the show, he didn’t hesitate.
“They’re actors. “The actors’ families are as close as the Reagan family and the characters they play,” Tom explained. “None of them wanted to leave. Most concerts do not end that well; there is often petty envy and other concerns, but we were able to overcome them. It’s something everyone should be proud of.
What Will Happen to Tom Selleck Next?
Regarding his future after Blue Bloods, Tom said, “I need to regroup; I’m not sure what’s next. But as long as the phone keeps ringing, I plan to keep working.”
