‘NCIS Sydney’ has a new launch date in the United States.
According to TVLine, the Australian spin-off of the police procedural series will now air on Tuesdays rather than Mondays in the United States, with its launch on CBS on Tuesday, November 14 at 8 p.m.
The episodes will also be available to stream live and on demand for Paramount+ and Showtime customers, with Paramount+ Essential subscribers getting to access the episode the day after it airs.
The series will premiere on Paramount+ in Australia on Friday, November 10, with other international distribution dates to be announced.
NCIS: Sydney will be commanded by Olivia Swann from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Todd Lasance from Home and Away, who will play NCIS special agent Michelle Mackey and sergeant Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey, respectively.
Other cast members include Mavournee Hazel from Neighbours, as well as Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, and William McInnes.
With rising international tensions in the Indo-Pacific, the series’ official logline reads, “a brilliant and eclectic team of US NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) are grafted into a multinational taskforce to keep naval cr1mes in check in the world’s most contested patch of ocean.”
The announcement comes after the sitcom was officially relocated to CBS, after first premiering exclusively on Paramount+.
CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach stated in a statement following the show’s CBS announcement, “NCIS is one of the most popular series in the world, and we’re thrilled to expand this franchise with a uniquely Australian twist.”
The new series, set in Australia, will feature the high-stakes intrigue, humour, and camaraderie that have kept fans hooked by the NCIS teams for over two decades.
