LL Cool J has transferred to NCIS: Hawai’i from NCIS: Los Angeles.
NCIS: Hawai’i began filming this week, and LL Cool J was on hand to play Agent Sam Hanna. In addition, he took part in a traditional Hawaiian blessing.
LL Cool J was a regular on NCIS: Los Angeles throughout its entire run. When the show was canceled, he mentioned working on new projects.
When the season finale of NCIS: Hawai’i aired last spring, many viewers were surprised to see LL Cool J in one of the final scenes. He’s back for more now.
LL Cool J had signed on as a recurring character on the Hawaiin spin-off before the Hollywood strike this summer and fall. And the work has just begun.
With Agent Hanna on board, the third NCIS spin-off gains credibility. The character takes a no-nonsense approach to his job and brings a distinct sense of humour to the small screen.

NCIS: Hawai’i’s new season premieres on Monday, February 12. Because LL Cool J is already on set, fans may see Agent Sam Hanna during the premiere.
Due to the shortened season, LL Cool J may appear in a higher percentage of episodes than he would have otherwise.
Season 3 of NCIS: Hawai’i will most likely have 13 episodes, with the season being cut short due to the Hollywood strikes. The production of the 20+ episode season was delayed by too many months.
