Season 14 of Blue Bloods will be the Final Season: ‘Heartfelt Appreciation To the Fans’

The popular police program BLUE BLOODS will conclude with the next 14th season.

In a joint statement, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, said, “BLUE BLOODS will forever be a beloved part of CBS’s legacy.”

“Since its debut, it has ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance and established itself as a pillar of our winning lineup with an exceptionally devoted fan base.”

Star In a statement, Tom Selleck said, “For the past 13 years, it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also demonstrates the value of family.”

Working with these wonderful performers, writers, producers, directors, and crew has been a dream come true for me, and I’m honored to have been a part of this extraordinary ensemble for over 275 episodes,” he concluded.

“We are grateful to CBS Studios and CBS Network for their unwavering support, and we are especially grateful to the fans who joined us for dinner every Friday night.”

Season 14 of BLUE BLOODS will be split into two halves with a total of 18 episodes.

The first ten will air this midseason, beginning on CBS on February 16 and streaming live on Paramount+; the last eight will air in fall 2024, according to MSN.

The sitcom has ranked in the top ten in streaming series for both Paramount+ and Pluto TV, and it has performed well on Netflix, CBS, and in syndication.

We’ll be eternally thankful to the legendary Leonard Goldberg for creating this landmark series, as well as the incredible cast lead by Tom Selleck, whom America embraced as family and watched as invited guests at the Reagan dinner table, Reisenbach and Stapf said. We also want to congratulate the great writing and production teams, led by executive producer Kevin Wade, for years of intriguing episodes as they plan the concluding chapter of what we hope will be the most rewarding season yet for our devoted viewers.

The cancellation of BLUE BLOODS comes after months of financial negotiations before to the Season 14 renewal. As previously reported:

The 14th season of BLUE BLOODS has been officially renewed after the actors and crew agreed to a 25% wage cut.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the cast and key producers all agreed to the wage cut in order to keep the Friday night cop drama on the air and keep hundreds of production workers employed for another season.

With the renewal, BLUE BLOODS becomes the network’s second-longest-running current scripted series, trailing only NCIS, which was just renewed for a 21st season.
