Sean Murray Set to Break an Impressive Record in NCIS Season 22

NCIS is heading into its 22nd season, with Sean Murray set to break a major franchise record. Murray, who joined as Timothy McGee early in Season 1, will surpass the late David McCallum as the actor with the most appearances in the NCIS franchise.

McCallum, known for his role as Donald “Ducky” Mallard, appeared in 459 episodes across the franchise, including NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, and JAG. Murray, who has been with the show since its early days, has appeared in 452 episodes. By the first half of Season 22, he will officially hold the record for the most appearances.

Despite the departures of key cast members like Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly, and Mark Harmon, Murray has remained a constant presence on the show. His character has risen through the ranks, even serving as interim NCIS Director.

Season 22 is set to premiere on October 14, 2024, and fans can look forward to seeing Murray claim this impressive milestone as the most senior actor in the NCIS franchise.
