Remember the adage, “It’s a dog’s life?” Renee Felice Smith, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, has confirmed that it is true.
From 2010 to 2011, she portrayed Nell Jones on the CBS cr1me drama.
Smith, on the other hand, has some doggone good dog action on video to share with the world. On Sunday, she did just that, thanks to Instagram.
Her fans were also eager to comment on the video.
“Perfection,” one person writes.
Another person comments, “Beautiful.” Then another fan comments, “So peaceful.”
Then another fan of the NCIS: Los Angeles star writes, “The best life ever.”
Yes, Smith is no longer a cast member of the CBS series. Fans, on the other hand, will be able to see her in the coveted reruns that air in syndication.

What happens after you leave a successful show like NCIS: Los Angeles? She enjoys traveling and spending time with her dogs. That’s exactly what Smith has been doing.
Her photographs can be found on her Instagram account.
She visited Colorado in September and blogged about her experience. She shared a photo of a beautiful mountain with clear blue skies in the background. “Colorado, you’re impossible to capture, but fool that I am, I’ll keep trying,” Smith writes.
Include some time with her dogs in the mix as well.
She also posted a photo of three of her dogs, Velma, Alfie, and Stitch, back in October.
They’d gathered on the beach. Smith now simply captioned the photo “pals” and added hashtags for each of her dogs. “Where is Mabel?” one fan inquired in the comments, referring to a missing puppy. “On a sofa bed, chillin’,” Smith writes. Hugo was also absent from the photo, most likely because he was relaxing on the sofa bed.
Smith recently collaborated with her partner, writer, and producer Chris Gabriel, on a children’s book titled Hugo and the Impossible Thing. Hugo, the couple’s dog, is the focus of the story. He demonstrates that every animal in the forest is incorrect and defeats the Impossible Thing.
In reality, the book is based on Hugo’s battle with a potentially fatal disease. Hugo’s disease is symbolized by The Impossible Thing. It’s also about how he overcame adversity as a small dog facing a big challenge.
Kirkus Reviews describes the book as “the perfect story for goal-oriented readers (as well as those who need the occasional nudge).”
As a result, she is focusing on her life outside of the primetime network show. NCIS: Los Angeles is one of two spin-offs from the original show that are currently airing on television. NCIS: Hawai’i airs immediately after NCIS.
