In a recent interview with Hello, Perrette expressed thanks for her professional career while also acknowledging her inner metamorphosis. “I’m a different person now,” she said, underlining her willingness to accept both the good and the terrible.
The 55-year-old actress gained fame in 2003 with her role on NCIS. After her departure from the show in 2017, she made a brief return to television with the pilot of Broke in 2019.
Perrette discussed her current focus on authenticity in her life. “I have this deep need to find authenticity in everything,” she explained, emphasizing her preference for genuine experiences above Hollywood’s appeal.
For Perrette, acting provided an escape from her own challenges. She now prioritizes a life where she can be her true self, avoiding the pressures of returning to a previous persona.
