Pauley Perrette Left Nothing To The Imagination, Try Not To Gasp

From her early days as a bartender to her stardom as Abby Sciuto on NCIS, Pauley Perrette has demonstrated tenacity and a wide range of experiences. Pauley was born in New Orleans and worked in a variety of fields before deciding to pursue a career in acting. Her character Abby, known for her unique style and brilliance, defied television conventions by combining goth aesthetics with genius-level forensic expertise.

Perrette’s life took a darker turn behind the scenes. In 2016, tension with co-star Mark Harmon allegedly escalated after an incident involving his dog biting a crew member. Pauley reported feeling unsafe on set and, despite her love for the role, ultimately left NCIS in 2018, citing personal safety concerns.

The actress’ exit from NCIS did not mean the end of her trials. In 2015, she was assaulted by a homeless man in Los Angeles, which exacerbated her suffering. Pauley’s experiences with violence and safety issues informed her advocacy, which included advocating for tighter stalking laws and increased awareness of restraining orders.

Aside from her career and activism, Pauley’s personal life also faced turbulence. Her marriage to musician Francis “Coyote” Shivers ended in 2004 with allegations of abuse, leading Pauley to seek a restraining order. Later relationships, though public, didn’t culminate in marriage, and she has remained cautious about marriage since.

Pauley Perrette is currently retired from acting, focusing on her activism for topics near to her heart. From surviving personal hardship to challenging media stereotypes, Pauley’s tale exemplifies resilience and a desire to make a positive difference.
