Former Blue Bloods Star says: “It’s A Good Idea The Show Is Ending”

As CBS prepares to end up its long-running serial “Blue Bloods,” one former actor, Jennifer Esposito, says it’s time to say goodbye. Esposito, who left the series in Season 3, recently spoke with Screenrant about the show’s finale.

“Everything has to come to an end, and I think they’re smart to end it now,” Esposito remarked. Despite both enjoyable and challenging moments during her tenure on the New York-based drama, she expressed gratitude for the experience and the enduring fan support.

Esposito’s exit from “Blue Bloods” in 2012 was met with criticism, owing mostly to health issues and schedule conflicts. However, she returned to the show in 2023, resuming her role as Jackie Curatola, much to the joy of viewers.

Beyond television, Esposito has thrived in roles on shows like “NCIS,” “Mistresses,” “The Boys,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” She is now poised for her directorial debut with “Fresh K1lls,” slated for release in June 2024.

Esposito’s path has also been influenced by her struggle with celiac disease, which has drastically changed her health and outlook on life. She currently works to raise awareness and understanding of the illness.

As “Blue Bloods” concludes its run, Esposito’s reflections offer a glimpse into her evolving career and personal growth, marking a poignant chapter in her Hollywood journey.
