NCIS fans have been pleading for the return of Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, so will they be reunited on the small screen in series 20?
NCIS fans will remember the magic of “Tiva,” the adorable name of agents Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). As far as CBS viewers are aware, the couple is living happily ever after in Paris with their daughter Tali (Emelia & Layla Golfieri). While they did not make it official during the show, Weatherly has since hinted that there may be scenes on the way.
Tony hasn’t been seen on NCIS since his departure in 2016, and Ziva left to be with her former colleague after her brief return in 2019.
To the delight of fans, the couple did send a letter to chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) to update them on their life together.
With so many new faces and exits, including Agent Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon), there haven’t been any recent updates on the couple’s relationship.
For quite some time, actor Weatherly has hinted that there may be more from him in the NCIS universe in the near future, and now he has provided a major update.

“We all would rather look at you and Ziva reuniting and enjoying that moment,” Twitter user Davey Hart wrote to Weatherly.
Weatherly responded, “Stay tuned…for this could be an interesting year for such’moments!’” to stunned fans.
The 54-year-old does not specify when fans can expect to see this special moment on NCIS.
Season 20, like the previous series, is expected to conclude in May 2023.
If NCIS is renewed for a twenty-first season, the show will most likely return in September.
So it’s unclear from Weatherly’s tweet whether this potential return could happen this season or next, which would put it in the second half of 2023.
In any case, seeing the pair reunited would be a thrilling moment in NCIS history.
The comment has received over 3,000 likes and 200 retweets since it was tweeted.
Hundreds of fans have also taken to Twitter to respond to the tease.

Ziva was thought to have d1ed in a mortar att4ck at the end of 2016, but it was later revealed that she had faked her d3ath to protect her loved ones.
Ziva left America to be with Tony and their daughter Tiva after assisting the team with an investigation.
So fans will just have to wait and see if a Tiva reunion is truly on the cards.
