With the announcement that Michael Weatherly’s show “Bull” is in its final season, “NCIS” fans are wondering if this means he’ll return as Tony DiNozzo. There has been no official word on Weatherly’s return to “NCIS,” but we can’t help but hope.
Weatherly, in terms of his character, has always been supportive of the idea of returning. He constantly posts about the show on social media and has been getting nostalgic for his former show in recent months. In December, he tweeted a selfie with the caption, “This guy woke me up this morning.” Then I realized it had all been a dream. He couldn’t get Gibbs off his mind. As well as his shoulder holster. “The #ncis dream.”
In another post, he was seen watching old “NCIS” episodes and missing his co-stars, particularly Sean Murray. Murray, who played Tim McGee opposite Weatherly, is still on the show. Is it possible that McGeek will be reunited with his friend and fellow agent soon?
Fans believe that the numerous social media posts are alluding to something significant. Weatherly, on the other hand, has always expressed interest in reprising his role. When the news about “Bull” broke, “NCIS” fans reacted on social media to the possibility of Weatherly reprising his “NCIS” role. It’s possible that he has another show in the works, but fans are still ecstatic about the possibilities.

Another fan is hoping Ziva will make a comeback as well. “With #MichaelWeatherly leaving @BullCBS, could we be getting a chance for a #Tiva reunion?” they speculated.
Ziva’s story came to an end a few seasons ago, but there’s so much more to say about Tony. It’d be interesting to see how they’ve grown as characters if they were brought back as a family. That is, if Cote de Pablo wishes to return.
