The upcoming NCIS offshoot, Tony & Ziva, follows Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David as they navigate life on the run across Europe with their daughter, Tali. Details about the central conflict remain under wraps, but the family faces an unnamed threat that forces them to rely on a new support system of skilled operatives on the continent. This setup makes it unlikely that they’ll reunite with the Major Case Response Team (MCRT) in D.C., though it would be risky for them to operate completely alone, especially with Tali in tow.
Tali’s struggle to accept Ziva’s history will be a major plot point. Ziva feigned her death and remained underground for years to protect her family, which Tony eventually discovered. However, Tali most likely only discovered the truth after Ziva rejoined them, causing tension within the family.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva will stream on Paramount+ with a 10-episode run, unlike the traditional 20-episode seasons of the franchise. There are also rumors that NCIS Season 22 could include a backdoor pilot for the series, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
