Rocky Carroll and Mark Harmon, who play Director Vance and Agent Gibbs on NCIS, shared an emotional encounter in a recent episode that sent fans to tears.
The performers, who have portrayed a deep on-screen bond, have a long-standing friendship that began on another show.
Carroll revealed that he and Harmon first met while working on the CBS series “Chicago Hope” in the 1990s, where they were both cast members for three seasons.
Mark Harmon had already gained recognition for his roles in medical dramas like “St. Elsewhere” before joining “Chicago Hope” as Dr. Jack McNeil.
Carroll, on the other hand, made his breakthrough with “Chicago Hope,” which followed his appearance on the Fox sitcom “Roc.”
Their relationship and mutual respect have endured over the years, culminating in tearful farewells on the set of NCIS, leaving fans both devastated by the characters’ departure and grateful for the actors’ genuine connection.
