NCIS Season 22 Photos Confirm the Return of a Fan Favorite Amid Exit Rumors

CBS has confirmed that Katrina Law will return as Jessica Knight in NCIS Season 22, dispelling rumors of her exit. Despite Season 21’s finale teasing Knight’s departure with a dream job offer, promotional images for the upcoming season show her as part of the Major Case Response Team (MCRT).

This reveal assuages fans’ concerns regarding her character’s future. Knight’s projected exit is similar to earlier NCIS plots involving Ellie Bishop, Ziva David, and Kate Todd, in which characters were hinted at leaving but eventually stayed.

Before joining NCIS in Season 18, Katrina Law was best known for playing Nyssa al Ghul in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. She also portrayed Quinn Liu in the reboots of Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I. Donald P. Bellisario created NCIS, which aired in 2003 as a JAG offshoot. Returning cast members for Season 22 include Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole. This will be the third season without Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, however he remains available for occasional appearances.

He teased a storyline about a high-level espionage figure, like Jason Bourne or James Bond, who ends up in a retirement home. The episode will explore what happens when someone with such skills starts to experience the struggles of aging.
