There’s no denying that “NCIS” fans appreciate a good spin-off show. The existence of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” and “NCIS: Hawai’i” attests to this.

People seemed to have a problem with this particular investigation/plotline becoming a little too stale. Most of the time, we see Pride dealing with corrupt individuals. This theme appears throughout the “NCIS” franchise, as well as nearly every other procedural drama on television.
“Pride constantly being thrust into storylines involving him taking down corrupt people in positions of authority has grown very stale, and logically nonsensical as his reputation gradually stopped preceding him and warning others off from attempting to outdo him,” one reviewer wrote.
It’s not a terrible rating, but it could be much worse. At the end of the day, fans began to notice that the show may have run out of things to highlight. After all, all shows must come to an end. Then, “NCIS: Hawai’i” stepped in to fill the void left by the New Orleans team.
