Daniela Ruah, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, has broken her silence following the announcement that the spin-off series will end after its 14th season.
The actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her character, Kensi Blye, whom she has played since the series premiere in 2009.
The caption stated: “From season one to season fourteen, from 24 to 39 years old, it has been an absolute dream. So many emotions to process and words to say. I’ll save them for another time… I’m so thankful to be a part of the NCISLA family. Because of all of you, the show has lasted this long.”
Fans reacted to the news in the comments section, with many expressing their disappointment that the show would be ending.
“This is devastating news, I just loved you guys!” one person wrote. I’ll miss seeing you as Kensi Blye. “How is this possible?” “God I’m going to miss u all so much, been watching since day one in 2009,” said another. “I adore you all.”
Amy Reisenbach, the president of CBS Entertainment, announced the end of the drama on Friday. “For 14 seasons, NCIS: Los Angeles has been a stalwart of our lineup with characters who were a joy to watch,” she said in a statement. It’s no surprise that this show became a global franchise.
Daniela posted her thoughts on Instagram.
“From the beginning, the cast, producers, and crew were incredible Network/Studios partners, and their teamwork, talent, and spirit shone through on the screen.”
“We are so grateful for the collaboration and extraordinary run of these treasured members of our CBS family,” she continued, “and plan to give them the big sendoff they and their fans deserve.”
The show will end after the 14th season.
On social media, LL Cool J also commented on the news, writing, “This NCIS Crossover was a huge success!! Thank you to all of our millions of fans worldwide!!
“These are some of our highest ratings in years. After 14 seasons, now is the time to finish @ncisla on a high note!!!”
