The NCIS: Los Angeles cast continues to support the brand, with LL Cool J repeating his role in NCIS: Hawai’i and Daniela Ruah, who played Kensi Blye, returning to the NCISverse-this time behind the camera.
Having debuted as a director in NCIS: LA Season 12 and directing six episodes, Ruah is set to direct an episode of NCIS scheduled for March, followed by an episode of NCIS: Hawai’i in April.
Ruah highlighted her delight, saying, “Kensi was born as a character on NCIS 15 years ago, so to be able to step back onto that set as a director, with that incredible cast and crew, is an absolute honor.”
There are so many familiar faces and people I adore, and they have greeted me with open arms. “It’s like coming home.”
In a November 2022 interview with Parade about directing the “Flesh & Blood” episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, Ruah shared her directorial approach: “I do think it’s important for a director to know when they need to step in more intensively, when there’s something more designed that they have in mind for a scene, and there are times when it’s my job to step back and let somebody else do their magic.”
NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i will return to CBS with fresh episodes on February 12, marking the 21st season of NCIS and the third season of Hawai’i.
