NCIS and NCIS Hawaii Have Been Renewed as CBS Has Released A Huge Update for 2023

CBS has delivered some good news to millions of TV viewers by renewing NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii for the upcoming season.

NCIS and its popular spin-off NCIS: Hawaii are taking a break this week, but will return to action on Monday. Thankfully, the drama will not end there, as CBS has announced its latest round of renewals for 2023-24, with popular cr1me dramas at the top of the list.

CBS has announced that both NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii have been renewed through 2024.

The mainline drama will return for its twenty-first season, while the new spin-off will return for its third.

NCIS is the third longest-running drama in the United States, trailing only Law & Order and Law & Order: Special V1ct1ms Unit.

Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, and Katrina Law are expected to return as series regulars.

In addition, new team leader Alden Parker (played by Gary Cole) is expected to stay for at least another season.

Meanwhile, Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and her agents will return to the North Pacific for more missions next season.

“This season, CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.

“It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season.

“I am confident that as we look ahead to next fall, we will continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming.”

The network is anticipating another successful year, with the NCIS duo being just two of the shows renewed.

comparatively newcomer A third season of CSI: Vegas has also been ordered, giving the spin-off a vote of confidence.

They join previously announced new seasons of The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted.

In addition, SEAL Team’s Max Thieriot will return for a second season of his instant-hit firefighter drama Fire Country later this year.

Comedy standbys Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, and So Help Me Todd have also been renewed.

Finally, unscripted shows such as Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough As Nails, and Lingo will continue. The renewal of NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii is a no-brainer for CBS, as the shows continue to perform well for the network.

Millions of fans were disappointed earlier this year when it was announced that the original spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles would be cancelled.

The drama’s current 14th season will conclude this year, bringing an end to the stories of G Callan (Chris O’Donnell), Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), and the rest of their team.
