Michael Weatherly, known for his role as Special Agent Anthony ‘Tony’ DiNozzo in NCIS, has thrilled fans with a sneak peek from the upcoming Tony and Ziva spin-off. The highly anticipated series will reunite Tony with Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) for new adventures, coming soon to CBS and Paramount+.
The spin-off, announced in February, would have a 10-episode initial season. Weatherly is presently filming in Budapest, Hungary, and giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram. Weatherly, dressed in a white shirt and black bowtie, appeared to be prepared for an undercover assignment, albeit he acknowledged to taking a break from the heat during filming.
Fans were quick to express their excitement, with comments pouring in from around the world. A Hungarian fan welcomed the star to their country, while others eagerly anticipated the return of the beloved “Tiva” duo.
Weatherly, de Pablo, and showrunner John McNamara said in a joint statement earlier this year: “The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter.” This is for the supporters who have been supporting ‘TIVA’ for years.”
The Tony and Ziva spin-off is expected to premiere in 2024, promising more thrilling moments for long-time NCIS fans.
