Michael Weatherly, best known for his role on NCIS, has embarked on a new musical journey! After leaving the hit show in 2016, Weatherly is now working on his debut album with producer Casey Hooper, known for his work with Katy Perry. He recently shared a teaser of his music on social media, promising a unique and heartfelt project.
In a tweet on December 26, Weatherly shared a video of himself singing a fragment of the song, characterizing it as a “little Christmas treat” and a preview of the tone he’s going for. Fans reacted positively, applauding the emotional depth of his performance and expressing excitement about the album.
Weatherly had previously recorded two songs for NCIS and even had a band during his early acting days. Although he initially planned to release the album for Christmas, the release has been postponed. He described the upcoming album as a “song about Icarus and a world on the edge,” titled Wings of Wax & Wood.
Aside from his music career, Weatherly has been spending the holiday season with his family, sharing festive photos with his children, Liam and Olivia, on social media. Despite his departure from NCIS and occasional speculations of a return, Weatherly has prioritized other creative endeavors and family life.
