Michael Weatherly Shares Heartwarming Update on NCIS: Tony & Ziva

Michael Weatherly is enjoying his time on the set of NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The actor, who began filming in July, recently expressed his excitement about shooting in Europe.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Michael shared a photo from what appeared to be a hotel room, writing, “I really like #Budapest & filming here with all these beautiful, talented people…”

The NCIS alum has been collaborating with co-star Cote de Pablo, showrunner John McNamara, and director Dennis Smith for the highly anticipated Paramount+ series. Sharing a behind-the-scenes snap, Michael wrote, “It’s so wonderful to be working with my friend and fellow traveler @NCISDIR Dennis Smith! And sitting on the floor is part of my new health regimen. Stretch instead of snack!”

Dennis joined the excitement, commenting, “Very happy to be here with @M_Weatherly, together sharing our love for telling stories and taking you along in our journey!”

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to premiere in 2025 and will consist of ten action-packed episodes. The tale resumes with Tony and Ziva raising their daughter, Tali, after reconnecting in Paris. When Tony’s security company is att4cked, the family flees across Europe, revealing a perilous secret as they navigate their complicated relationship.

Michael has been keeping fans updated throughout filming, sharing glimpses of the set, including a visit to what appeared to be a zoo or animal sanctuary. In earlier posts, he teased black-tie scenes and James Bond-inspired moments.

While Cote de Pablo doesn’t use social media, she expressed her excitement about revisiting Ziva at events like MIPCOM. Speaking in Cannes, she said, “What a luxury it is to revisit a character after such a long time. I think the fans have always wanted to see what happened between them [Tony and Ziva].”

The countdown is on for fans eager to see the duo back in action!
