Keller Fornes, Star of Great American Family’s ‘County Rescue,’ Dies at 32

Keller Fornes, star of Great American Family’s Country Rescue, passed away on December 19, 2024, in Eastland, Texas. He was 32.

His obituary states that a memorial ceremony will be place on January 11 at Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville, Texas.

Great American Media expressed their sorrow in a January 6 statement:
“We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes. He was a special person and talent… Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched.”

The post featured a commemorative image of Fornes, and several celebrities expressed their sympathy. Candace Cameron Bure sent love and prayer emojis, and American Idol alum Colton Dixon described Fornes as “incredibly kind.”

Fornes, born April 22, 1992, in Lubbock, Texas, earned a fine arts degree from the University of North Texas and later began his film career in Georgia. In 2024, he joined Country Rescue, portraying Griffin in the medical drama about EMT trainees.

Co-stars Julia Reilly and Kristin Wollett paid tribute, with Wollett sharing a montage with the comment, “In our hearts. “Always, Keller Scott Fornes 🤍.”

Beyond acting, Fornes appeared in The Walking Dead, Genius, Found, and films like Origin and Beast Beast. He also wrote, produced, and starred in independent films, in addition to enjoying painting, drawing, singing, and playing guitar.

Fornes is survived by his wife, Margie, his parents, and two brothers.
