‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor Dies at 37 After Fatal Accident

Johnny Wactor, beloved for his role as Brando Corbin in “General Hospital,” tragically lost his life at 37 in downtown L.A. during a suspected catalytic converter theft. His agent, David Shaul, remembers Wactor not only for his talent but also for his exemplary character, describing him as a beacon of hard work and positivity.

According to the LAPD, Wactor was fatally shot while confronting three people attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter around 3 a.m. Saturday near Pico Boulevard and Hope Street.

Wactor’s portrayal of Brando Corbin, son of Gladys Corbin, in “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022 earned him acclaim across 160 episodes. His career also included guest appearances on popular shows like “Army Wives,” “Westworld,” and “Station 19.”

In addition to his television work, Wactor has been in a number of short films and feature films, most notably acting alongside Nicolas Cage in 2016’s “USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.”

Wactor leaves behind a legacy of artistry and kindness, survived by his mother Scarlett and brothers Lance and Grant. His untimely death leaves a void in the hearts of many, reminding us to cherish every moment.
