Is Maria Baez Back for Good on ‘Blue Bloods’..?

We noticed that Detective Maria Baez has returned in the last couple of Blue Bloods episodes. Is she back for good this time..?

Marisa Ramirez plays Baez, who has been absent from the show for character reasons. Baez, you see, had been wounded by a gunshot and needed time to recover.

However, she has appeared in a few brief scenes in recent episodes. This could be attributed to storylines involving guest stars Lyle Lovett and Jimmy Buffett.

So, is she back? This article by Matt and Jess is helpful.

The Character of a ‘Blue Bloods’ Actress May See More Action in Season 12, Episode 12

Changes in this regard may occur with Episode 12. The Reagan Way is the title of this week’s episode, which will air on Friday.

It will reunite Baez with her on-the-job partner Detective Danny Reagan, who will be played by Donnie Wahlberg.

They will be working with or near NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, played by Tom Selleck.

See, Frank is investigating a murd3r that is complicated by the fact that Archbishop Kearns, played by Stacy Keach, currently knows who the true k1ll3r is.

However, due to the rules of confession in the Catholic Church, he is unable to discuss it.

The Commissioner is seeking justice and has asked Danny and Baez to assist him.

On Blue Bloods, we all know Frank is a devout Christian. It most likely means that Frank does not want to compel the Archbishop to do something contrary to his religion.

Frank, on the other hand, seeks justice.

According to the synopsis for this episode, Danny and Baez “employ unconventional methods to work around the Church’s confidentiality constraints when Frank tasks them with finding the true k1ll3r.”

Let’s see what happens here.

We have no idea what methods those two will employ.

However, they may have to think outside the box on this one. Consider what will need to be done to assist the commissioner.

And, hey, it’ll be great to see Maria Baez back in the thick of things as a member of the New York Police Department.

It will return on CBS this Friday night at 10 p.m. Eastern/9 p.m. Central. It’ll be interesting to see how all of this plays out between Baez and Danny when they’re working together for a good cause.

Of course, the cause is justice, but this is something truly from Frank Reagan’s high seat. What steps will they take to obtain justice? Which strategy will assist them in determining who committed the murd3r?

With a show like Blue Bloods, they are always striving to add drama and intrigue to storylines.
