Scott Bakula, as longtime TV viewers are aware, is no stranger to saying goodbye, especially when it comes to the end of a beloved TV series.

The actor is best known for his five seasons as time-traveling do-gooder Sam Beckett in “Quantum Leap” (which was canceled after five seasons), as well as his four seasons as Captain Jonathon Archer in “Star Trek: Enterprise.”

Bakula described the ending of “NCIS: New Orleans” as “bittersweet” in an interview with TV Insider, when discussing his final day of filming the show. “We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season,” he said, referring to the series’ final season being shot under social distancing regulations due to the C0v1d 19 pand3m1c.
