Season 14 of CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” has been announced as the series’ final season, and fans are devastated.
R. Scott Gemmill, executive producer and showrunner of NCIS: Los Angeles, said in a statement:
“I want to thank both the network and studio for their partnership and support over the years; Shane Brennan for giving us such a great playground; and my partners John P. Kousakis, Frank Military, Kyle Harimoto and Andrew Bartels for their tireless efforts and collaboration episode after episode. Our team has evolved into a true family, and their hard work and dedication have been critical to our success year after year.
My heartfelt thanks go to the cast members who brought our characters to life with their empathetic performances – thank you for your talent, professionalism, and never-ending enthusiasm. Thank you also to our devoted viewers who adored our characters and followed their adventures. We are excited to bring the series to a close that is both satisfying and true to these beloved characters.”
Fans are hoping that the wedding of Callen and Anna will be featured before the show officially ends.
“Callen proposed at the end of last season’s finale, as part of a joyful “NCIS family beach party!” montage set against a genuine, idyllic sunset. The impending union had been mentioned a few times since, partly because Callen feels he can’t take this step until Hetty returns and he finally understands who he is and isn’t. But, Doctor Zhivago wedding or not, the smart money is on Callen and Anna saying “I do” before NCIS: LA fades to black.”
