Donnie Wahlberg’s Heartfelt Goodbye: Exclusive Final Day Photos on ‘Blue Bloods’ Set

Donnie Wahlberg and the “Blue Bloods” cast are officially saying goodbye to the CBS procedural. Although the final episodes won’t air until later this year, the cast has wrapped filming. Wahlberg shared an emotional farewell on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the 14-year journey.

“Last day of Blue Bloods,” Wahlberg wrote. “I’m not sure I have the words to express how I feel about today, but I know I’m grateful for every moment of it. Thank you to the cast, crew, guest cast, background actors, writers, producers, and members of all departments. Thank you, New Yorkers, for constantly demonstrating your affection. Thank you, NYPD, for your dedication and sacrifice. Finally, to my followers and the fans of this show, we couldn’t make it 14 days (much alone 14 years) without you! Your love and support for this show have been one of the greatest joys in my life. “Thank you.”

Wahlberg, who had just played in Pittsburgh for New Kids on the Block’s Magic Summer Tour, shared a video of himself transitioning from New Kids mode to Danny Reagan.

Vanessa Ray and Wahlberg also shared a photo of a group embrace with Marisa Ramirez, with the comment “last day feels.” Ray wrote, “I love them so much,” and Wahlberg added, “Family forever.”

The series finale of “Blue Bloods” will premiere in December, and more details about the final episodes will be disclosed soon. Fans may expect a mix of joy and melancholy as the Reagans’ journey concludes.
