Daniela Ruah is steadily expanding her directing resume. She revealed on Monday that she is in charge of another NCIS: Los Angeles episode. And that’s a good thing for the show’s fans.
Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye, announced the news on Instagram. She shared a picture of herself holding a tablet. She also captioned it:
“Flesh & Blood” is the title of the episode. It will also be the fifth episode of Season 14. That means the special NCIS: Los Angeles episode should air before Thanksgiving.
The episode is being written by Chad Mazero, according to Ruah. If you don’t recognize his name, you’ve probably seen his work on NCIS: Los Angeles. According to his IMDb profile, he has written a dozen episodes and served as a supervisory producer on 22.
According to TV Line, the episode will cover two subjects. One example is domestic violence in the Navy. The second is a search for missing expl0sives.
This will be Ruah’s fifth NCIS: Los Angeles episode to direct. She performed three times this season. “Live Free or D1e Standing,” “Pandora’s Box,” and “Lost Sailor Down” were the episodes in question. She then directed “Russia, Russia, Russia” in season 12.
“Live Free or D1e Standing” was written by Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Kensi’s husband Marty Deeks. As a result, the on-screen husband and wife shaped the episode from both sides of the camera.
CBS has yet to reveal any details about the upcoming season, other than the fact that it will premiere on October 9. NCIS: Los Angeles premieres three weeks after the other NCIS franchises. So they haven’t been in production for that long. While the other two NCIS shows are doing crossovers for their premieres, LA should go solo. However, there has been speculation that all three shows will cross over this season.
The cast of NCIS: Los Angeles was in a celebratory mood the last time we saw a new episode. Rather than ending on a cliffhanger, the show took a summer hiatus with a large beach party. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) got down on one knee and proposed to Ana (Bar Paly).
Meanwhile, Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) planned the celebration to welcome Rosa, Deeks, and Kensi’s new foster daughter. Last season focused heavily on Kensi and Deek’s journey to parenthood. They eventually brought a young immigrant Kensi met while working undercover in Mexico. Rosa was eventually rescued and brought to Los Angeles by Kensi. When Rosa’s aunt became too ill to care for her, Kensi and Deeks applied to keep her in the country.
There is an ongoing plot involving Callen. He’s investigated the CIA’s top-secret program that identified foster children as future spies. Callen was one of those youngsters. And Hetty (Linda Hunt) was well aware of the situation but never informed Callen of her involvement.
In the season 13 premiere, Callen confronted Hetty. Hunt, on the other hand, did not return in season 13. Hetty was in Syria for the season.
