I’m Concerned About the Blue Bloods Finale After a Recent CBS Update

CBS’ latest Blue Bloods update makes me worried about the series finale. The popular police and family drama, despite its high ratings, is going off the air after 14 years. The Reagan family has been the heart of the show, blending police procedural with family drama.

However, the final episodes of season 14 have largely focused on cases of the week with little overarching story development, particularly in Jamie and Eddie’s plans to start a family and Danny and Baez’s romance.

With only a few episodes remaining, CBS has issued a hazy premise for the series finale. It will feature the Reagan family scrambling to protect the city from mayhem as gangs band together and demand amnesty for imprisoned members. This storyline appears to come out of nowhere, missing the build-up required for a good series finale.

The finale will need to tie up loose ends for the Reagan family, but with little set-up so far, it may feel rushed. Despite these concerns, there’s still hope that the finale can provide a fitting send-off by focusing on the Reagan family’s legacy and delivering a strong emotional conclusion. The final episode will need to balance resolving storylines with delivering on the family drama that has always been at the heart of the show.
