Austin Stowell Portrays Young Leroy Jethro Gibbs on ‘NCIS: Origins’
Austin Stowell stars as young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the next installment of the NCIS franchise, diving into the beloved character’s early days. Mark Harmon portrayed Gibbs for nearly two decades before leaving the program in 2021. Gibbs returns to television to discuss his time as a newly recruited special agent at the NCIS Camp Pendleton headquarters in 1991. Joining a gritty team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks, Gibbs begins to carve his own career in law enforcement.
CBS recently unveiled the first image of Stowell as Gibbs, offering fans a glimpse of his interpretation of the character. In contrast to the older Gibbs, this rendition sports a more casual appearance with longer hair and a laid-back henley top. Stay tuned for more updates as the show progresses.
