‘Bull’ Sets Up ‘NCIS’ Reunion: Sasha Alexander Appearing on Set With Michael Weatherly!

Special Agents Anthony DiNozzo and Kate Todd have reunited… sort of.

Sasha Alexander, who played Kate on NCIS for the first two seasons, shared photos from the set of CBS’ Bull, which stars Michael Weatherly as Tony until he leaves at the end of Season 13. “Reunited with this one…,” she wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of the two of them sitting on a bed. (On Instagram, she wrote a slightly different message alongside the photo: “Reunited and it feels sooo goood.”)

Alexander then shared another photo, this time revealing that she will be directing an upcoming episode of the legal drama. This will not be the actress’s first time behind the camera; she has previously directed episodes of Rizzoli & Isles (on which she played the medical examiner for seven seasons) and You.

Geneva Carr, who plays Marissa Morgan on the show, also shared a photo of Alexander on set. “What a pleasure to work under the direction of the FaBULLOUS @sashaalexander!!!” she wrote alongside the photo. Look at the image below.

While Weatherly appeared in the backdoor pilot episodes of JAG, Alexander first appeared in the NCIS series premiere, working a case with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tony before joining the team. She left at the end of Season 2, at which point Kate was k1lled off, and in the Season 3 premiere, the team each saw a version of her as they dealt with their grief. In Season 8, it was revealed that the psychiatrist evaluating the team was Kate’s sister, Dr. Rachel Cranston, and a deleted scene of Kate and Tony from Season 2’s “An Eye for an Eye” was used (Wendy Makkena). In the 200th episode of NCIS, Gibbs imagined a few “what if?” scenarios, one of which saw Tony and Kate marry and have a child.

Alexander directing an episode comes as Bull nears the end of its season. Weatherly announced in January that the series’ current sixth season would be the last. The series finale will air in May.
