Bridget Moynahan Reflects on Emotional Final Moments with Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg on Blue Bloods Set

After captivated audiences since 2010, CBS’s Blue Bloods will bid farewell with the final episodes of season 14B. The show, which was discontinued in November 2023, returns on October 18 with eight episodes, marking the end of the popular police drama.

In a heartfelt interview with People Magazine, Bridget Moynahan, who played Erin Reagan, reflected on her last day on set alongside co-stars Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg.

She recalled a poignant moment with Tom, sharing: “We were behind a monitor watching Donnie film his final scenes. I had my arm around Tom, and he was holding my hands the way my dad did. It was such a gracious, thankful moment – just like our first day: ‘Nice to meet you. We are family.’”

Donnie Wahlberg, formerly known as Danny Reagan, expressed his emotions on Instagram, detailing his last stroll from the classic family dinner scene. “It was more emotional than I could have imagined,” he wrote, thanking the cast and crew, fans, and the city of New York. “It’s been a fantastic trip, one that many of us want might continue. But I am deeply humbled and grateful for this adventure.”

The cast and crew, who have developed a deep bond over the years, are set to reunite at PaleyFest in New York on October 17. The event will feature an advance screening of one of the final episodes, followed by a conversation with the cast, including Tom, Bridget, Donnie, Will Estes, Vanessa Ray, Len Cariou, and Marisa Ramirez.

While the end of Blue Bloods signals the end of an era, the cast’s appreciation and the show’s legacy will last far beyond the final episode.
