Blue Bloods Stars Bid Farewell on Final Day of Filming: ‘Incredibly Thankful for Every Moment’

The cast of Blue Bloods recently marked the last day of filming for the CBS family drama’s final episodes. The series, which will conclude with Season 14, had its first 10 episodes air from February to May, and the last eight will roll out this fall. Despite efforts by Tom Selleck and other cast members to continue the show, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach confirmed its end in December to refresh the schedule.

Donnie Wahlberg, who has played Danny Reagan from the beginning, expressed his gratitude on Instagram. I’m not sure I have the words to express how I feel about today, or the last 14 years on this particular Blue Bloods adventure, but I know I’m grateful for every moment of it.

Marisa Ramirez, Wahlberg’s longtime scene partner who has played Maria Baez since Season 3, also shared her mixed emotions on Instagram. Vanessa Ray, who portrayed Eddie Janko Reagan for 11 seasons, posted a heartfelt photo with Wahlberg and Ramirez on her Instagram story.

At a June stockholders meeting, Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins hinted at a new Blue Bloods series in the works, although it’s unclear whether it’ll air on CBS or Paramount+.
