Blue Bloods Boss Teases Major Ceremony in Final Episodes

A recent behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Blue Bloods finale suggests an important event is on the horizon. Although CBS has confirmed that the show will conclude with Season 14, fans are still hoping for an extension. The final eight episodes will air this fall, leading up to a December series finale.

In these final episodes, stories emerge, such as Eddie and Jamie’s family planning and Frank’s persistent clashes with Mayor Chase.

While producers haven’t hinted at a surprising finale, a post by Donnie Wahlberg on Instagram has fueled anticipation. In the photo, he is seen in full dress uniform, thinking deeply on his final day on production, alongside other cast members dressed properly.

Showrunner Kevin Wade hinted to TVLine that the dress blues signify a significant ceremony, stating, “I can only say they’re only in dress blues for certain kinds of ceremonies.” He confirmed that there will be a large set piece involving all characters in dress uniforms toward the end of the finale.

This celebration might commemorate Frank’s retirement as NYPD Commissioner, Eddie’s promotion, or an honor for Frank or his father, Henry. It can also be a special anniversary for the NYPD. With no significant plot twists or character deaths predicted, the producers appear to be concentrating on providing a satisfying finish for the series’ viewers.
