‘Blue Bloods’ Confirms Airdate for Final Episodes – All the Details

It’s the end of an era for Blue Bloods. CBS has confirmed that series 14B will premiere on Friday, October 18 at 10pm, marking the final eight episodes of the beloved series. Fans will soon bid farewell to the Reagan family after the show first captivated audiences in 2010.

The cancellation of Blue Bloods was revealed in November 2023, much to the disappointment of the actors and fans. Tom Selleck addressed his frustrations, saying, “CBS will discover that an awful number of people aren’t ready to say goodbye to it. The show is more popular than ever, and I believe that interest will expand this year.”

At 79, Selleck isn’t ready to retire. “I’m not counting the days so I can do something else. I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what? I want to work as long as they’ll have me.”

In May, Selleck hoped that CBS would “come to their senses” and rescind their decision. “We are the third-most written show in all of broadcasting. We are winning the night. “The entire cast wants to return.”

Donnie Wahlberg confirmed that filming wrapped in June, sharing an emotional video from the set. “I’ve taken this walk thousands of times in 14 years and it was a teary final walk from the Blue Bloods dinner scene. It’s been a wonderful adventure. I’m so thankful. None of it came easy, but nothing good ever does.”

Following the cancellation, rumors of a possible spin-off surfaced. CBS Studios President David Stapf stated, “We don’t have anything in the works for the near future, but it’s a beloved brand, title, and show. We need to get it right, therefore we’re taking our time and figuring out the next iteration of Blue Bloods.

For now, fans can look forward to celebrating the final season of Blue Bloods, cherishing every moment with the Reagan family.
