While nothing official has been announced, the cast of Blue Bloods has discussed their hopes for a potential spinoff as they film Season 14, the show’s final season.
Tom Selleck, who plays Frank Reagan, voiced dissatisfaction with the show’s conclusion, saying he preferred to focus on the show’s continuous success rather than its termination.

Donnie Wahlberg, who portrays Danny Reagan, shared his openness to a spinoff, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the show’s spirit. “There’s been a lot of talk about spinoffs… as long as it has family at its core, I’m all for it,” he told TV Insider. He added that his immediate priority is enjoying the final episodes with fans.
CBS Studios President’s Take
CBS Studios President David Stapf said that, while a spinoff is not currently planned, the brand remains popular. “We have a whole season to celebrate the show, and we’re taking our time to figure out the next iteration,” he joked.
Selleck’s Hope for Continuation
Selleck also previously expressed hope that CBS would reconsider its decision to end the series, highlighting its high ratings and the cast’s willingness to continue.
Abigail Hawk’s Grief
Cast member Abigail Hawk revealed that she isn’t ready for a spinoff just yet, adding, “I’m still grieving because we all wanted to continue.” However, she believes that other characters, such as Abigail Baker, may have interesting backgrounds outside of the Reagan family.
