All good things must come to an end, and for the beloved police procedural Blue Bloods, that moment has arrived. The CBS drama, which stars Tom Selleck, is in its 14th and final season, with the second half premiering on October 18 at 10 p.m. ET.
The cast recently gathered at PaleyFest 2024 to discuss their experiences during this farewell season.
Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan) reflected on what he will miss most: “The people behind the scenes… It’s hard to let go because coming to work was a joy.” He also thanked CBS for celebrating the show’s legacy, noting its success as one of the top-rated broadcasts.
Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan) expressed her sentiment about the close-knit crew, saying, “We’ve had babies, divorces, and deaths together. We’ve done it together.”
Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Reagan) shared, “Every single moment” will be missed, from laughing with castmates to cherished interactions with Selleck, who he fondly referred to as “Dad.”
Len Cariou (Henry Reagan) simply stated, “I’ll miss every one of these people. I’m proud to have been part of this wonderful legacy.”
Since its inception in 2010, Blue Bloods has followed Police Commissioner Frank Reagan and his family as they handle challenging issues in New York City law enforcement while dealing with personal tragedies. As the series comes to an end, the cast members reflect on the strong ties they’ve developed over the last 14 years.
