The cancellation of “Blue Bloods” is undoubtedly disappointing for fans who have been following the Reagan family’s exploits since 2010.
The show has continuously been a top performer for CBS and has been a hit on Paramount+.
Though the cop program has always been a successful CBS offering, the network wanted to save money for Season 14, which is now slated to be its final.
It was claimed earlier this year that CBS would be interested in Season 14 if considerable budget savings were made.
Salary cutbacks of up to 25% were purportedly implemented for major actors and producers. With a smaller budget, the network opted to go forward with the fourteenth season of the show.
According to Deadline, the decision to make Season 14 the final “Blue Bloods” chapter was made when the SAG-AFTRA strike ended in early November. CBS is also canceling “Young Sheldon,” its beloved “The Big Bang Theory” prequel/spin-off.
While fans may be frustrated that “Blue Bloods” has been compelled to include the badge, there is something to be said for the series receiving a final season, which most shows don’t get these days.
With the announcement, series star Tom Selleck issued a statement bidding goodbye to both fans and the creative forces behind the CBS series.
“Working with these wonderful actors, writers, producers, directors, and crew has been a dream come true for the actor, and he is thrilled to have been a part of this extraordinary ensemble for over 275 episodes,” he said.

This is so wrong! So many trashy shows on and not watching them….ever. This show is fantastic and the greed is mostly why CBS is doing this. Sad.
Yes Totally AGREE! There is so much other crap on tv and when family shows are on tv.
This is so sad, I absolutely love this show. It is one of the best shows on any station. I use to be in law enforcement and this portrays some accurate dilemmas in law enforcement these days. Also portrays a family dynamic, love the family dinners.
The actors were willing to make the sacrifice then they should not cancel the show. It is so wrong.
Have enjoyed the show-sorry to see it end-hope to see the actors in new upcoming series.
I’m so sorry that they are taking it off after all this time. People share their time around when it’s on which is Friday evening. I hope everyone goes forward with new adventures and be proud of all you’ve accomplished with this exceptional show.

Can Netflix not take it on?
This is such a bunch of bullshit. Go on, put on another piece of garbage show. Replace it with another reality show ( which is so far from reality). No wonder people watch more cable, regular channels are a waste of time.
So sad good show with great family values its a shame I love the show it makes me watch and thank god it’s wholesome what kids need to watch with all the bad things officers go thru now a days it shows values that kids need now!
I think it is a shame to cancel this show. It is one of the best shows on CBS. This all comes down to money for executives. There are other shows that need to be cancelled besides Blue Bloods. CBS will find that there ratings will go down hill when b l ue bloods is no longer on. At least I can still watch on Wednesdays on ION, Pluto runs all day and nite and sundance also has it on. There rating will definitely go up.
CBS should have got full out for the final season. The show has been wonderful for the network, it should have returned the favor.

I think u know how I feel; I posted several times. It is is sad and disappointing that you would take off a family show with morals and keep on shows that no one wants to view. I pray someone else will pick this great show! If you lose most of your public it is your fault! They even excepted less salary and u still drop them. This is one sick world! When no one cares about the American people! People in high places sacrifice the people for their own gain and control!
